This was a fairly speedy painting to try and get a colour palette for the “Heaven” part of the image.

Lucifer

These are recent concepts for a friends animated short. The idea is to show Lucifer at the point he turns from angel to daemon. With these I was exploring colour and pose of the character in quick studies.

Finean, the mouse thief

I recently found great inspiration from a great comic called “Mouse Guard” and decided to design my own character to model, rig and animate for my showreel. This Guy is called Finean. I’ll post more another time about his background but suffice to say he isn’t a bad guy and actually turns out to be good. A good thief you ask? Well, I suppose it depends on who you steal from. Just look at Robin Hood, or at least the legend that we are led to believe of Robin Hood.

This is pretty much the final design but I’ll post previous concepts another time to show how I got to this design (I can’t post them at the moment as I’m at my girlfriends place of work and have no scanner handy)

More Concepts of Monsters! :)

So here are some more designs of some monsters. I was really just exploring and having fun with these. The idea was to create a bipedal creature that resembled human form. The creatures are called “Fallen”. They were once vampires that have devolved due to not feeding on humans for a long time. There are also a few random designs thrown in there for good measure!

Character Designs For Personal Project

I have been working on a personal project, developing a short film idea with a friend. We gradually realised the project was too large for just the two of us to handle but I did manage to get these few designs done. These first designs are of the main character. They didn’t get very far as I found myself struggling and intended to come back to them after finalsing the other characters.
